The project is planned to be available for occupancy during the summer of 2008. The conversion includes eleven (11) “flats” and four (4) two-story residential condominiums; along with three (3) business / mercantile condominiums. A new vertical addition will incorporate a lobby entrance from the secured on-site fifteen (15) car parking area, an elevator, stair tower, additional living space on the lower floors, and a new fifth floor penthouse.

The residential suites will range from 835 s.f. to over 2,200 s.f. Most units will contain two (2) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. One (1) and three (3) bedroom units will also be offered.  The four (4) penthouse suites will be two stories with private roof terraces overlooking downtown (click here to see the building views).

Ten (10) of the residential units will have outdoor space. A modest fitness center will be on the lower (office) level. The entrance on Bridge Avenue will be restored to emulate the original classic 1920 design. Universal Design provisions will be featured in four (4) units, & green building elements will be utilized.

West Side Community House has served Ohio City at since 1920. Architectural enhancements to the building and grounds will provide a signature structure in Ohio City, while respecting its neighborhood setting. This development will allow the building’s historical significance and its second century of service to continue in our community.
